It is always fun to hear what kids think, so we decided to make our own rendition of the Art Linkletter TV Show, "Kids Say the Darndest Things". Here's what a few of them had to say:
One said "This is so totally awesome."
Another said "If I'd have known this place was around, I'd have come out here a long time ago."
One said, "I'm glad I wasn't born back then." When asked why, she said, "I don't think I could have put up with having to do so much work."
One bright-eyed little girl was taking a tour of the house and said "Can you believe they used to have to go outside to go to the bathroom? I'd probably have to hold it until I got back to school the next day!"
One of the boys asked his friend, "Did you know that? I thought potato chips just showed up at the store."
Another little boy said "It would be cool to be running around all day on a horse on a farm, but I'm not sure my girlfriend would like how I smelled when I picked her up."
Every years, many of the kids send us thank you letters and let us know what they liked or didn't like at Kids Day. They never hold back with their thoughts and advice, so it is always fun to see Carstens Farm through the kids' eyes, and the thank you letters always give us a chuckle or two.
To better view the above images, be sure to click on each of them. Hopefully, you will be able to read them and see the detail these kids put into their drawings.
Please note that the middle and right images are the front and back of Chazley Ferris's letter to the Farm. What a budding artist!
